Zeynep Atakan, a graduate of Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts, Cinema and Television, worked actively in the advertising sector between 1986-1999 and specialized in the field of production during these years.

In 2010, he was awarded the “Eurimages Producer of the Year” award from the European Film Academy. Atakan created Yapımlab Workshops in the same year, which aims to convey experience and knowledge to young people in the field of cinema. Today, he still provides 360-degree trainings in the field of cinema with Yapımlab.
Since 2014, she is the vice president of the European Women’s Audiovisual Network, which aims to provide equal opportunities for women who produce in the audio-visual field in Europe and all over the world.

Between 2011 and 2017, she served as the ‘Chairman of the Board’ of the Film Producers Professional Association.

In 2014, she was deemed worthy of the Flying Broom Bilge Olgaç Achievement Award. Winter Sleep, which he produced, won the Palme d’Or, the festival’s most prestigious award, at the 67th Cannes Film Festival.
Again in 2014, he started Antalya Film Forum, a co-production and project development market organized as part of the International Antalya Film Festival, and was its director until 2018.

With YAPIMLAB, which he established in 2010 to transfer knowledge and experience sharing to new generations, he conducts workshops with national and international new generation filmmakers.

Since 2016, she has been the art director of the Sabancı Foundation Short Film Platform, implemented by the Sabancı Foundation.

She organizes the Turkey section of the ‘Young Audience Award’, a project of the European Film Academy.

She is a member of the Oscar Academy, the European Film Academy and the Asia Pacific Academy.

She continues with Zeyno Film and Yapımlab, of which she is the founder, as a film producer and trainer.
